From more than two decades in professional kitchens to a neighbourhood café in St John’s Wood, Brioche Bloom is built around food, craft and genuine hospitality.
Our food brings together artisan baking, British favourites, French inspiration and dishes shaped by more than twenty years of working in kitchens around the world.
Meet the Chef
James Ford
A lifetime in kitchens, distilled into one neighbourhood café.
Brioche Bloom was created by chef James Ford after more than twenty years working across British, French, Italian, Indian and international kitchens.
His career has taken him from independent restaurants and hotels to some of London’s best-known hospitality groups, including Brasserie Blanc, San Carlo, Farmacy Kitchen and STK.
Before Brioche Bloom, James also created and operated his own restaurants and hospitality businesses, including Truffles, Parkville Hotel and Britalian Kitchen.
Those years shaped the philosophy behind Brioche Bloom: professional cooking without formality, beautiful presentation without pretension, and hospitality that feels personal.

Brioche Bloom was created as a neighbourhood café: somewhere to stop for morning coffee, meet for brunch, enjoy something freshly baked or settle in for dinner and wine.
